2pm at the Meeting Place, 284 Simcoe St. Beaverton

Matt Fairbrass will speak on the Lost Airmen of Muskoka Project. A Second World War plane’s recovery from Lake Muskoka. The Northrop A-17 Nomad aircraft sank in December 1940 after a mid-air collision killing Leading Aircraftsman Theodore (Ted) Bates of the Royal Canadian Air Force and Flight Lieutenant Peter Campbell, a member of the British air force.  In 2007, Matt Fairbrass, who heads up the Lost Airmen Project, discovered the missing wreckage using a side-scan sonar.   Bodies of two pilots found over 70 years later

All welcome. Social time to follow.
