At the Meeting Place, 284 Simcoe Street Beaverton, we welcome guest speaker Millie Morton.
Author Millie Morton is a sociologist who grew up on a farm near Stirling, Ontario, and attended a one-room elementary school. She will share stories from her book Grace: A teacher’s life, one-room schools, and a century of change in Ontario – the true story of her mother, a teacher who lived from 1907 to 2008. With photos, Millie will illustrate how Ontario changed during the twentieth century – education too.
Autographed copies will be available for $25(cash) during the social time following her presentation.
